Job Overview and Responsibilities:

To implement and share purchasing strategies in raw materials and energy, to conduct key negotiations, to develop, manage and follow up the processes and available resources, to ensure suppliers act in accordance with Solvay's Sustainable Development/CSR-strategy and to pro-actively participate in purchasing networks in order to deliver savings and enhance purchase productivity and realize for Coatis internal customers, uninterrupted supply of goods and services at the optimal conditions.

Main Attributions: 

· 
Preparation for and participation in Strategic Sourcing Decision Committee (SSDC) meeting ,if required for contract values within own perimeter according to the Solvay Purchasing Process 

· 
Market Intelligence for Coatis GBU by leveraging the central marketing team

· 
Cartographies of suppliers, markets 

· 
Process implementation 

· 
Purchasing performance for assigned portfolio 

    - Business Umit Savings (Cost, cash and beyond)

    - Application of Solvay performance process, in particular compliance with to the Solvay Purchasing Process 

    - Customer satisfaction 

    - Coatis GBU Portfolio optimization in line with corporate Purchasing guidelines 

    - Supplier relationship management 

· 
Contribution to the Effectiveness of the Purchasing process 

· 
Compliance with the SSDC process for relevant contract /orders values within own perimeter

· 
Manage relationship with internal customers during projects

Education and Experience:

· 
Bachelor’s Degree required; degree in Engineering, Business administration,  commerce, or other relevant discipline preferred;

· 
Master’s degree and/or Purchasing Manager certification preferred; 

· 
Experience in negotiation (complex negotiations is a must);

· 
Project management experience is desired;

· 
Procurement understanding;

· 
Game theory understanding;

· 
Commercial acumen;

· 
Chemical chain knowledge.
