R&I researcher (Energy)
Propose, run & deliver innovation projects in the field of Energy market to contribute to the strategy of the Special Chem GBU.
Vacancy description
As a specialty business and Group growth engine, Special Chem GBU is seeking to deliver innovation in its core markets.
In this context it is critical that the R&I function of the GBU confirms and develops further its capability to generate & deliver projects in the field of Batteries and Energy efficiency.
RICParis R&I team is a contributor of the growth strategy in Batteries & Energy market segments, preparing long term innovation in the field of inorganic materials, in shared programs with Corporate R&I.
The team will work in close alignement with Devlopment & Technology Innovation teams located in our plants in France, USA, China and Japan, as well with other key functions of the GBU (business, industrial), and the Group (Corporate R&I).
In his domain (Energy)
- Secure the projects running from ideation to development phase, ensuring close collaboration with Corporate R&I teams, efficient delivery of his work(timing & content) and preparing the transfer to process teams.
- Drive the research activity of the project he/she is directly involved (operational role)
- leverage internal or external expertise to reach his/her objectives (Open innovation)
- Monitor patent screening & landscape in his domain in collaboration with Competitive Intelligence manager
- Drive the development of insight on technical customer needs as well as insight on what in our products control performance and value at customers
- Drive the development of fast screening methods on key product features making performance & value at customers

HSE management & compliance with local and GBU rules
Quality & KPI management at lab level in line with local and GBU rules
People management, inclusive collaborators performance assessment and people development
Deliver existing Opportunities & Projects in the scope of Energy cluster (ex : batteries)

Profil recherché
Qualifications :
Profile
- PhD in Chemistry or Materials
- Previous experience in specialty inorganic materials synthesis and significant basics in solid state physics
- Knowledge in the field of batteries and/or electrochemistry
- Knowledge in the field of optical materials
- Knowledge in optical properties and/or electrochemistry
- Good communication skills with all levels of management in an international team-based environment
- English fluent
- French fluent
