Job Overview and Responsibilities:

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for directing and coordinating the maintenance crafts, with focus on safety, quality, reliability, costs and on-time delivery. The maintenance supervisor drives a safety culture through leading by example, setting expectations and standards, and reinforcing Solvay’s positive behavior during the course of daily business.
Supervise maintenance department (I&E and Mechanical technicians) to ensure highest level of safety, productivity, workmanship and quality of work is delivered.
Direct maintenance craft, review, approve and schedule maintenance work to maximize availability of the plant equipment.
Inspect work in progress and after completion for accuracy and timeliness. Take corrective actions to reduce safety risk, and eliminate waste.
Coordinate daily maintenance and preventative maintenance work to ensure maximum uptime while utilizing the available equipment, tool, material and manpower.
Direct maintenance crafts to achieve efficiency of repairs. Monitor maintenance tasks to ensure compliance.
Assist the Reliability Engineer/Planner in the development of Maintenance work plan.

Education and Experience:

Qualifications:
•Must have minimum 5 years hands on experience in the operation and maintenance of various types of mechanical and operational equipment (chemical/refinery and PSM experience preferred).
•Two to three years of supervisory experience preferred. 
•Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering degree preferred
•Must have experience in preventive maintenance
•Must have strong background in mechanical maintenance, Electrical experience is also a plus

Skills:

•Experience with computerized maintenance management system will be required; SAP experience is preferred.
•Ability to work occasional overtime and respond to plant emergencies during off hours.
