Solvay Torrelavega plant is the largest and the oldest work center of Solvay Group in Spain. Operating since 1908 Torrelavega plant has 400 workers in 78 hectares of production of sodium carbonate, sodium bicarbonate and sodium chloride. All products serve as chemical basis for other industries.

Job Overview and Responsibilities:

The candidate selected for this position will have the opportunity to integrate the site electrical and instrumentation maintenance team.
Specifically he/she will be part of the team responsible of electrolysis plant, site analyzers and logistic sector maintenance. Our pillars are safety, quality, competitiveness, customer centricity and flexibility. You will report to the site analyzers responsible of Torrelavega Plant and your main tasks will be :

·  Plan, schedule and supervise autonomously electrical, instrumentation and analyzers maintenance for assigned area, ensuring that our activities comply with SHEQ policies and regulations.
·  Evaluate and diagnose failure causes autonomously and propose adequate solutions.
·  Collaborate and interact with site engineering department for new projects and lead autonomously small engineering modifications in the assigned area.
·  Elaborate and propose reliability improvement strategies for the assigned area.
·  Collaborate and interact with site production teams for managing daily maintenance works.

Education and Experience:

·  Engineering degree and a minimum of 5 year experience in electrical, instrumentation and analyzer maintenance or technical degree in electricity or electronics 
·  and 10 years of demonstrable experience  in electrical, instrumentation and analyzer maintenance.

Skills:

·  Deep theoretical and practical experience in pressure transmitters, flow transmitters, temperature transmitters and automatic valves maintenance and problem solving. 
·  Deep theoretical and practical experience in MCC, electrical drives and relay logic maintenance and problem solving.
·  Experience on industrial analyzers maintenance and problem solving. On-line, in-line and off-line analyzers including NIR and TDL technologies.
·  Experience on scales and packaging machines maintenance.
·  Basic knowledge of Honeywell DCS system (TDC3000 + Experion) and PLC’s.
·  Native or bilingual proficiency in Spanish. Basic working proficiency in English.
·  Demonstrate ability to interact with external suppliers and act as team leader.
·  Team player, pragmatic, proactive, open to change, tenacious.
·  Lean Manufacturing principles knowledge will be a plus (5S methodology, project management, 6 sigma, problem solving methodologies, etc.).
