Job Overview and Responsibilities:

We are looking for a trainee to assist in the improvement of the management of regulatory data regarding our raw and purchased materials. 

CONTEXT AND INTERACTION
The Hazard Communication team is an expert team offering support to all HSE users and providing all the elements allowing them to deliver compliant and efficient Hazard Communication outputs, using a pragmatic, standardized and transparent approach. Within the Hazard Communication team the raw material and purchased chemicals compliance is handled by dedicated raw material experts.

The trainee will routinely interact with the business users and technical experts. He/She will work closely with counterparts in Europe, and with Product Stewardship and Toxicology staff.

Key responsibilities

·  Collect and organize data to populate the regulatory database per Solvay requirements
·  Compare regulatory data between legacy data systems and EHS database, for raw materials and purchased chemicals
·  Assess quality of legacy data and need to fill in data gaps
·  Work with business users to explain the data model and obtain appropriate data to fulfill system needs
·  Analyze data extractions from legacy systems, and prepare data loading files for input into SAP
·  Assist in regular review committees as needed 

Education and Experience:

·  Undergraduate degree in STEM field (science, technology, engineering, or math) 
·  Excellent computer skills, including working experience with Excel and databases 

Skills:

·  Fluent in English
·  Experience in regulatory affairs is a plus
·  Expertise with SAP EHS is a plus
·  Experience with HazCom regulations concerning raw materials is a plus (e.g. SVHC, REACH, chemical inventories)
·  Experience with Industrial Hygiene regulations is a plus
·  Team player and have good interpersonal skills.
·  Very good oral and written communication skills.
·  Ability to effectively communicate with and relate to technical staff and business users.
·  Quick learner with drive to perform in a dynamic project environment.
