Job Description:
This position’s role is to perform routine to moderately complex accounting support work in accordance with accepted standard accounting principles, department guidelines and applicable regulatory requirements as well as to prepare analytical reviews.
Roles and responsibilities:
- Prepare various reports for daily, monthly, quarterly and annual reporting
- Perform balance sheet account reconciliations
- Perform bank account reconciliations
- Prepare schedules for internal and external financial audits
- Prepare journal entries
- Maintain internal financial and accounting controls
- Assist in annual budget preparation
- Assist with maintaining department files
- Analyze large data sets and present conclusions
- Perform other accounting tasks
Required technical skills:
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
- Very good knowledge of Windows and MS Office (especially advanced Excel)
- Very good analytical skills
- Good organization of work and commitment
Required education:
- Master's degree, with preference for Accounting, Finance or Business
Other key qualifications:
- Very good English
- Well-organized and detail oriented with reliable follow-through
- Ability to learn quickly
