TRAINEE: Operational Risk Analyst

SG CIB is the Corporate and Investment Banking arm of the Societe Generale Group. Present in over 50 countries across Europe, the Americas and Asia.SG CIB provides corporate, financial institutions, investors and public sector clients with value-added integrated financial solutions.

The Risk Monitoring Framework team steers the Operational Risk processes, framework and associated
tools within wholesale banking for Asia Pacific (incident collection, Permanent control supervision,New product Committee and outsourcing process).Team function includes:

·  Ensure policies, guideline and tools are defined
·  Monitor the consistency of processes and data quality
·  Organize transversal governance and committees related to operational risk
·  Proposing action plans to improve process efficiency
·  Provide regional view of Operational risk indicators and key messages to management
·  Provide Training and support to operational risk managers to raise awareness and steer a soundrisk culture

Mission

Main Responsibilities:

·  Assist in preparing monthly operational risk dashboard and key indicators for various committees
·  Handle ad hoc reporting and request related to operational risk processes
·  Utilize advanced excel skills to standardise data for development efforts for process and reporting efficiencies
·  Assist operational risk managers to handle new tools deployment (ie UATs and data migration)
·  Understand the new tool from end user standpoint, and train people of the new tool / function
·  Face-to-face or remotely
·  Support the usage of operational risk event management tool, and prepare tracking report to
·  Management

Desired profile

Profile

Your Profile :

·  Hold a relevant Bachelors or Masters degree in Business, information technology, computer science or equivalent
·  Familiar with data extraction process, transforming business requirements to programs and processes to deliver information deliverables (e.g. information reporting, data extracts)
·  Ability to lead discussions with multiple stakeholders to drive issues towards resolutions
·  Committed, meticulous, courageous, equipped with good communication
·  Proven self-starter who can work independently
·  Ability to work in a multinational and dynamic environment
·  Fluent English is mandatory

This is a fixed term 12 month Trainee contract with Societe Generale. You will form part of the team on a full time basis. In order to apply for the Trainee position please ensure you have completed your qualification and will be available to work full time for the duration of the Trainee contract.
