Your environment
At Societe Generale, you will be joining the Global Finance entity of SG Corporate and Investment Banking. We provide our issuer clients (corporates, financial institutions, public sector) with capital raising solutions, along with structured financing and commodities, forex and interest rate hedging. Developing tailor-made products and providing strategic advice (capital structure advisory, financing schemes and capital markets) based on our worldwide expertise and in-depth sectorial knowledge, we aim to meet their financing needs. We are a top player across euro debt capital markets and won many international accolades over the years as a worldwide leader in export, project and natural resources & energy finance.
You will be joining the Loan Sales and Trading team, within Corporate and Investment Banking. We are responsible for syndicating and distributing all loan products originated by SG in US, to banks and institutional investors, as well as provide market liquidity in a number of issuers thru our trading desk.
The SG loan origination platform includes, leverage finance transactions, all aspects of Project Finance deals, Real Estate, and global commodity financing transactions.
Your role
During your VIE mission you will be in charge of these responsibilities:
Maintaining P&L records and sales credits for the desk;
Ensuring all aspects of internal procedure and compliance records are kept up to date;
Assisting with ongoing KYC requirements for the desk investors.
The VIE assignment in a nutshell
This VIE in New York City is to begin as soon as possible but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 18 months.
The VIE is a specific contract, under Business France’s eligibility criteria, opened to candidates under 28 and from the member states of the European Economic Space.

Your profile
Graduate from Engineering school, Business School or University with a master degree in Business/Economics or Financial Markets.
You are fluent in English.
You are proficient with Microsoft Office.
Your career path
You will be sitting with the sales and trading desk, observing all aspects of the business. You will be exposed to actual syndication af new issues, and learn about the trading environment in US. Also, you will be exposed to various types of corporates and issuers, and get a very sense of credit anaysis
