Environment

Within Societe Generale Corporate and Investment banking department, the candidate will be part of the Structured Products Sales and Financial Engineering team, covering USA, Latam and Canada.

Mission

The mission will be to participate to the daily activity of the sales desk , and work closely with the COO for Sales & Financial engineering teams

The main focus of this position will be to

·  Assist the management of NY in providing reports and business analysis of the structured product Sales activity. Examples: Proactively put in place new tools and dashboards for monitoring the activity (Activity follow-up, P&L, Client coverage), prepare & send management reports on a daily/weekly/monthly basis
·  Assist COO team and management to control Sales and Engineering desks
·  Assist in Sales credit follow-up and accuracy of booking
·  Assist in coordinating new projects linked to the improvements of the sales activity. Examples: Setup of a new Sales PnL booking processes, etc

This position is a perfect way to gain a deeper knowledge of the role of all the actors involved in the functioning of a trading room within the worldwide leader in Derivatives products. Thanks to the large scope of this position, the candidate will improve his / her knowledge on both products and organization of a bank. He/she will learn the different interactions with other teams along a product life cycle:

·  Sales and Financial engineers
·  Internal support function (Middle, Back Office, ITEC)
·  Structured Products management

He/she will develop his/her financial knowledge in a variety of cross-asset products.

·  Productions of numerous reports. Being able to automate the production via appropriate tools will enable to save time and focus on being proactive to propose new reports for instance.
·  Understanding the products will create more relevancy in interactions with Sales people, and more efficiency in the management of the Sales PnL booking

In charge of gathering timely and accurate information from Front Officers eg: from Salespeople to keep Customer Relationship Management up to date, and from Traders to collect Sales PnL information

In a competitive environment, Quality of work is important and mandatory. A lot of actions are delegated to the intern, who must thus be 100% reliable to ensure completion of all actions or report difficulties if any.

Will have to deal with sales person and various internal SG departments and ensure that each party understands its own issues, responsibilities.
