SG CIB is the Corporate and Investment Banking arm of the Société Générale Group. Present in over 50 countries across Europe, the Americas and Asia. SG CIB provides corporate, financial institutions, investors and public sector clients with value-added integrated financial solutions.
You will be part of one of the feature teams of our technology department, working for Fixed Income and Currencies (FIC) business line.
At Societe Generale, you will be joining the Information Technology division of Global Banking & Investors Solutions (GBIS), one of the three pillars of SG that brings together Corporate and Investment Banking activities, Private Banking activities, Asset Management and Investor Services.
Every day our teams are ensuring that we deliver the service our businesses need to compete and serve Societe Generale's clients. Our objective is to deliver great production services in a well controlled and cost effective way, and to deliver competitive application systems that allow GBIS to grow its business in existing and new markets, launch new products and take advantage of new opportunities when they arise.
Mission
Your role
Your main responsibilities will be to:
Contribute actively to the build-out and support of the FIC flow chains
Foster proximity and continuous interactions with the trading & sales desks
Help the team provide great support services to its users
Help the team build quality software, tailored to user needs
Apply modern development practices such as clean code, refactoring, unit testing and continuous integration
The VIE assignment in a nutshell
This VIE in Hong Kong is to begin as soon as possible but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 18 months.
The VIE is a specific contract, under Business France’s eligibility criteria, opened to candidates under 28 and from the member states of the European Economic Space. For further information, please see www.civiweb.com.
Profile
Your profile
You are graduated with a Master degree from Engineering or Business School or University with a specialization in Information Technology or similar.
Ideally you have coding skills: you are able to code quality software and learn new languages quickly
You are fluent in English.
You are proficient in Microsoft Office application (Excel, powerpoint).
