Responsibilities

Societe Generale Global Transaction Banking (GTB) includes Payment & Cash Management (PCM), Cash Clearing services (BAN), Trade Finance services (TRA), Factoring and Supply Chain Finance (CGA) as well as the FX services associated to these activities.

We can offer the expertise of a large international banking group and experience spanning over twenty years. As a real local Bank in all the countries where we operate, our global system ensures optimal coordination.
Part of the GTB, the Divisional Financial Officer will be mainly responsible for follow up of the financial performances of PCM London desk.

During your VIE mission you will be in charge of these responsibilities:

·  Under the supervision of the Business Manager, elaboration of the monthly P&L.
·  Set up of different indicator's tools and follow-up of these indicators on a monthly basis in order to give business development or orientation recommendations.
·  Participation in projects impacting financial reporting.
·  Work with COO team in Paris to enhance GLOBAL Data and reporting.
·  Enhance Sales/Middle-Office day-to-day processes.
·  Risk control & Permanent Supervision.
·  Update of Procedures.

Profile Required

The VIE assignment in a nutshell

This VIE in London is to begin as soon as possible but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 18 months.

The VIE is a specific contract, under Business France's eligibility criteria, opened to candidates under 28 and from the member states of the European Economic Space. For further information, please see www.civiweb.com .

Graduate with a Master degree from Business/Engineering school or University, majoring in Finance or Accounting.

A previous experience in Investment Banking would be appreciated.

You are fluent in English and in French.

You are proficient in Office application,Expert level of Excel & Access (Visual Basic + SQL)

Banking knowledge (and transaction banking)
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Able to multi-task.
Work autonomously under pressure to meet deadlines.
Work under your own initiative.
