Job description



Responsibilities

·  Provide compliance and regulatory advice, ensuring that the advice provided is suited to the needs of the different business activities
·  Oversee integration of the sales and trading activities of our acquisitions
·  Engage and liaise with other compliance areas, such as CMS (responsible for day to day trade and communication surveillance), CTL (responsible for LOD2 Controls and desk reviews) and the local Transversal and FCU Compliance team, ensuring appropriate support and guidance in the development of product knowledge within both global teams and with Desk Reviews and completion of enquiries arising from the routine monitoring
·  Maintain awareness of the risks posed by the activities performed, ensuring that the inherent regulatory risks posed by business activity are determined, the mitigating factors assessed to determine the residual risk and the actions required to further mitigate, or reduce, the regulatory risk
·  Active engagement and liaison with other compliance and support functions across the 3 levels of defence including in respect of any new regulation and their impact on the business activities
·  Participate and being involved in tasks like Compliance Risk Assessment; Regulatory reporting requirements; Transparency requirements for shareholdings
·  Any other tasks/projects as assigned (f.ex. training of staff)

Profile Required

Experience and technical skills:

·  Apprenticeship/university degree in banking activities with qualification in Compliance related topics, and/or Legal qualification
·  At least 5 years of experience in a similar role in a Bank/Financial Institution
·  Ability to analyze and summarize legal documents, e.g. laws and regulations, in German and English
·  Sound knowledge the respective regulations including the transparency directive; MAD/MAR; MIFID II/MIFIR and where applicable German regulations
·  Strong skills in working in a structured way
·  Strong ability of assessing risks and procedures at all levels
·  Fluency in both German & English (written and oral) is required; French language skills would be of advantage

·  Self-motivated with strong work ethic and desire to deliver to high standards
·  Ability to quickly understand the bank's strategy, its organization, the products and management of Compliance risks, as well as respective laws and regulations
·  Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
·  Good presentation skills
·  Independent and organized working style
·  Cooperation & team spirit
·  Ability to work under pressure

As a team member you are responsible on a day to day basis of the compliance advisory supporting local Global Markets (MARK) activities. This will include mainly Equities, Derivatives, Fixed Income, Currencies, Prime Services, Cross Asset in terms of product groups and Sales, Trading and Cross Asset Research in respect of activities. The relevant support/operational functions might be part of the scope as well. Your responsibility is ensuring that required compliance processes are in place and operational.
