Your environment
Join Société Générale Corporate & Investment Banking (SG CIB) as a VIE in Hong Kong within our Global Finance (GLFI) business line.
At Societe Generale, you will be joining the Global Finance entity of SG Corporate and Investment Banking. We provide our issuer clients (corporates, financial institutions, public sector) with capital raising solutions, along with structured financing and commodities, forex and interest rate hedging. Developing tailor-made products and providing strategic advice (capital structure advisory, financing schemes and capital markets) based on our worldwide expertise and in-depth sectorial knowledge, we aim to meet their financing needs. We are a top player across euro debt capital markets and won many international accolades over the years as a worldwide leader in export, project and natural resources & energy finance.
You will be part of our Shipping & Offshore Finance team and be involved in all aspects of the transaction process from preparing the initial pitch to client negotiation and deal execution.
Mission
Your role
Your main responsibilities and missions will be :
Market research;
Assisting in the preparation of pitches and other marketing materials;
Handling commercial, financial and legal due diligences;
Corporate analysis on clients and analysis of their shipping fleet;
Pricing of financing opportunities;
Preparing market reports;
Participating in the preparation of credit applications;
Reviewing the documentation before closing of the transaction; and
Assisting in other transaction requirements such as E&S, KYC etc.
The VIE assignment in a nutshell
This VIE in Hong Kong is to begin as soon as possible but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 24 months.
The VIE is a specific contract, under Business France’s eligibility criteria, opened to candidates under 28 and from the member states of the European Economic Space. For further information, please see www.civiweb.com.

Your profile
You are graduated with a Master degree from Engineering or Business School or University with a specialization in Accounting or Finance.
You have analytical mindset.
You are fluent in English.
Other languages such as Korean, Mandarin is highly regarded
You are proficient in Microsoft Office application (Excel, powerpoint)
