Job description

The Siemens Mobility division has exciting opportunities for a Design and Testing Manager for Road Tunnel Management Systems. This role will be located in our Singapore office. The Siemens Mobility team is looking for an individual that is aligned with our company values: excellent, innovative and responsible to carry out design, checking and testing of road tunnel management systems. The scope of supported activity includes customer projects, so you will be responsible for managing the development and delivery of the road tunnel management design on assigned projects and also have the opportunity to see your designs in action, through managing of the testing and commissioning activities.

What are my responsibilities?

· Responsible for all the design deliverables of road tunnel management systems including traffic control, plant monitoring, CCTV, incident detection, document management and maintenance management systems.
· Requirement analysis and translation into work packages and then into system design. Carry out solution design, selection of components for solutions and defining interfaces with 3rd parties.
· Ensuring that the design meets the customer requirements, international and national standards and regulations and adhere to company safety and legal standards.
· Leading the design team and ensuring effective communication and collaboration between team members.
· Carry out coordination with customer, other contractors, involved authorities, system assurance and R&D teams concerning the system interfaces.
· Responsible to deliver/sign-off design documents, interface definition/control documents, test documents, BIM drawings and other documents required by project or customer.
· Evaluate together with the Procurement Manager and the Project Manager the potential suppliers/subcontractors for equipment/services. Responsible to define BoQs and technical descriptions for the contracts to be signed with suppliers/subcontractors.
· Responsible to plan and execute the acceptance tests in cooperation with the Software Design Manager and the other contractors/sub-contractors.
· Reporting of the realization progresses (technical functions, approval, customer acceptance).
· Adjustments and coordination of the deliverables and performances with customers.
· Assessment of the changes efforts in case of change orders.
· Forward identified claims to the Project Manager (claim lists).

What doI need to qualify for this job?

· University degree in relevant field
· Project experience (as Design Manager)
· Work experience in culturally diverse environment

What else do I need to know?

· MS Office incl. VISIO and Project.
· International standards and local regulations that apply to the project
· System design and integration
· Good English skills both verbally and in writing.
