Job Description
The System Architect (Technical Project Manager) is responsible for leading the development team overseeing the design, implementation and support of the Mobility digital platform (i.e. that will be rolled out to Mainline & Urban transport for Rolling Stock and Signaling. This position involves working with a small team of developers and involvement in the entire application development process, including visiting with users to analyze processes, studying feasibility, designing, gathering feedback, and implementation of custom systems.
Duties and Responsibilities
The System Architect (Technical Project Manager) provides a technical role responsible for requirements analysis, system architecture and design of a digital platform to address the current digital opportunities within the China market
· Requirements analysis and specification of system design
· Implement system architecture
· Manage and coordinate the tasks for sub-systems from a technical perspective
· Assist project management in technical discussions
· Support of integration and system testing
· Visits to site to assist in testing and commissioning
Skills/Qualifications
· Master or above degree in programming/systems or computer science required;
· Specialized training, certification or equivalent work experience required;
· 5-7 years of programming/systems analysis experience required;
· Broad level of understanding surrounding information systems and application architecture standards required;
· Expert level of advanced programming techniques and application and systems design required;
· Knowledge of distributed system architecture, middleware, or object oriented analysis and design required;
· 1-2 years of team leadership experience required;
Demonstrated experience developing web applications preferred; Large-scaled database Administration preferred; Knowledge of documents management processes preferred.
