Job Description:

Security Service Specialist

Siemens Building Technologies is currently searching for a Security Service Specialist to support our Service group in the Central Pennsylvania Area.

We are seeking a Security Service professional with a minimum of 3 years of experience with CCTV, card access, integrated Security, and fire alarm systems. Specific experience with Genetec, Software House, Video Management Systems, and other major vendors is a plus.

Computer/Networking skills: Understanding software such as VMware, networking, and routing is required.

Ability to perform system troubleshooting, equipment installation, and wiring of field devices for access control, CCTV systems, and fire systems using hand tools. Electrical or fire alarm background is a plus.

Performs commissioning on systems including loading software programs and implementing modifications as necessary.

Responds and carries out to completion all troubleshooting and repairs of assigned customer systems.

Assist with system preparation and design coordination for upcoming projects.Provides assistance to the engineering group to create and/or verify point database; supports the creation of job specific programming via computer for various systems. Provide recommendations to engineering and sales regarding system installations.

Assists with verification of point database and programming operations that they are consistent with the scope of work for the intended integration and sequence; assists with back up data from data servers and/or with creation of automated backup procedure; supports troubleshooting and resolution of inconsistencies in the functions or sequence of operations; contacts Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) for technical support when needed. Assist with the set up and configuration of PC workstations and user interfaces.

May provide support to others with the scheduling of contractors to coordinate startup services as needed.

Operational Testing, Verification and Acceptance: Runs routine reports to review system operation and participates in final inspection and testing to ensure system meets customer expectations.
