Region Latin America (RLA) Power Marketing Analytics

Marketing and Sales Operations GP SPG (MK&SOP)

Position Overview:

The RLA Power Marketing Analytics person, reporting to the Marketing Analytics Head, is responsible for defining the key assumptions package and developing and maintaining the mid-term outlook and of the different power and fuel markets where the group conducts fundamental analyses in the RLA Region including Mexico, Brazil, Chile.

This individual will also conduct modelling and visualization efforts in order to identify and characterize power generation asset optimization opportunities and potential disruptive market risks. Once the opportunities and risks have been characterized, this individual will also be responsible for utilizing power generation optimization tools in order to quantifying the value of said opportunities and risks.

The position will be based out of Orlando, Florida or Houston, Texas

Responsibilities:

·Develop modeling and visualization tools;

·Discuss with the RLA Regional Partner and rest of Marketing team's energy market trends in the region;

·Translate market trends into assumption scenarios of the focus power markets;

·Manipulate dispatch optimization engines to develop, own and maintain a market outlook;

·Share understanding of market fundamentals with RLA Sales and rest of Marketing individuals to foster knowledge-sharing;

·Quantify the value proposition for Sales opportunities and marketing campaigns revolving around power augmentation, efficiency, flexibility, reliability, availability, cost optimization, operational excellence and environmental stewardship;

·Work with RLA Regional Partner to identify best data-driven approach to respond to business questions within constraints given;

·Assist Head of Marketing Analytics and Regional Partner meeting the RLA Region's smart origination annual target.

Required Skills and Experience:

·Bachelor's degree in Engineering or similar major with strong analytical rigor.

·A minimum of 2-5 years of experience in power market analytics, asset valuation, project management, or energy consulting required.

·You should be able to demonstrate excellent understanding of the power and fuels value chain fundamentals.

·You will have experience in Latin America power market economics with a good understanding of its dynamics and regulations.

·You will possess superior abilities to communicate business strategies both orally and in written form.

·You should be able to express creativity, critical analysis, self-motivation, and superior resolution skills.

·30% amount of travel either domestic/international required

·Qualified Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States and will not require employer sponsored work authorization now or in the future for employment.

Preferences:

·Experience with Power Purchase Agreements or Power Auctions

·Software experience with AuroraXMP, POLES, PLEXOS, PROMOD or equivalent is preferred.

·Handling of visualization and analysis tools such as Tableau, Alteryx, Python, R, SAS, SQL, ML/AI, or GAMS is desired.

·Proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred. Will work with those willing to learn Spanish.
