The Diagnostics and Bioscience Research Group of Siemens Healthineers Technology Center in Bangalore, India is looking to recruit candidate who has a keen interest and passion to do interdisciplinary research and development in the areas of computation, optics and systems engineering. This person will be involved in hands-on experimentation involving algorithm development and sensor selection for measurements of biological phenomenon. A practical hands-on ability and interest to evaluate and develop methods for data analysis, visualization, integrate them into instrumentation concepts and work in a multi-disciplinary team is required.

What are my responsibilities?

· Develop and implement algorithms to analyze and interpret data keeping in mind the choice of sensors and underlying biological phenomenon being observed
· Apply appropriate computational methods and develop specific algorithm sub-modules that integrate into measurement instrument concepts
· Collaborate with other engineering and assay development team members to develop integrated systems
· Generate Intellectual property in her/his technology area
· Compile, analyze, document and present data
· Keep updated with the latest research in area of technical expertise

What do I need to qualify for this job?

· MS in biophysics, mathematics, engineering or equivalent with 1 to 2 years R&D experience
· Competency in data analysis, algorithm development and an ability to implement them in a higher level programming language/environment
· Strong interest to develop novel concepts in compressive sensing to detect and measure biochemical or biological phenomenon
· Experience in systems development and integration is a plus
· Demonstrated technical proficiency in scientific writing or scientific creativity
· Strong problem solving ability & analytical skills
· Solid communication and interpersonal skills
· Creative, self-directed, and a team player with strong startup mentality
