This is a role well suited to an ambitious professional, looking for the next step in their career. As a Mechanical Engineering Co-Op, you will be responsible for :

·  Perform various inspection and test activities to support root cause investigations
·  Work with suppliers to gain certification of RoHS compliance
·  Make design changes to make parts RoHS compliant
·  Design fixtures and make part modification to improve cost or part reliability
·  Write verification and validation plans, execute activities per plans and write reports
·  Process map select processes and identify ways to streamline them

·  Experienced with root cause analysis tools such as fishbone, 5 why and KT
·  Knowledge of statistical methods and analysis
·  Exposure to injection molded plastic parts
·  SharePoint

Required skills to have for the success of this role

·  Enrolled in an engineering degree at an accredited college with a minimum GPA of 3.2
·  Proficient in Microsoft Office and a 3-D parametric modeling software, Solidworks preferred
·  No travel required

Start Date: Summer 2020; 6-month duration
