Position Overview

Are you ready to take on a newchallenge while getting a chance to put your electrical troubleshooting skills to work? Join our 2nd shift Maintenance team to put your experience to work in a new challenging environment!

·  Perform installation, troubleshooting, repairs, preventive maintenance, and alterations tocomplex machinery, machine tools, lifting equipment, and fixtures.
·  Recommend appropriate corrective action in accordance with referenced specifications, drawings, accepted industry and shop practices.
·  Perform electrical and mechanical construction work as required.
·  This position reports the Maintenance Group Lead and will be on a small team of 6 on 2nd shift.

Responsibilities

·  Use all required safety equipment and follow established safety procedures.
·  Receive and perform work assignments via work order process or via oral and/or written direction from Group Leader, Team Leader, or Managers and work with or under the direction of engineers and contractors as needed.
·  Accurately report findings of inspections to operations, Group Leader, etc.
·  Document, organize, and retain all findings of evaluations and inspections in a timely manner.
·  Interpret drawings, sketches, etc. to determine necessary tools and materials needed for assignments.
·  Troubleshoot issues with production equipment and machinery.
·  Perform preventive electrical maintenance and routine repairs on all equipment and operating systems within the facility, including but not limited to electrical boxes, wires, switches, gearboxes, transmissions, hydraulic and lubrication systems, injection, heating, and molding equipment.
·  Fabricate and install piping and conduit as needed.
·  Enter and maintain data as needed for operating maintenance work order and log systems.
·  Verify plans, drawings, dimensions as needed
·  Install materials by assembly, mounting, and fitting parts based on Siemens process requirements.
·  Verify all parts, equipment, or materials are installed according to the standard work instructions or engineering direction.
·  Lift or maneuver parts, equipment or materials for installation or disassembly

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

·  High School Diploma or equivalent required
·  A 2 year technical degree or equivalent experience required
·  A certified electrical journeyman's card or new approved Iowa certification required
·  Minimum of 3 years of experience repairing electrical (480v) equipment and supporting mechanical maintenance in an industrial environment required.
·  Must have valid driver's license and able to be certified on mobile equipment
·  Demonstrated skills in print reading and application required
·  Demonstrated skills and ability to trouble shoot and provide solutions
·  Experience with programmable logic controllers is preferred
·  Able to lift >40 lbs., grasp force of >55lbs, able to climb ladders, and be on feet 8+ hours per day
·  Within the qualifying period the employee must demonstrate a satisfactory proficiency in production maintenance and electrical repair.
·  Must be available for frequent weekday/weekend overtime.
