Student Intern

Position Overview

Internship opening in the field of Business Administration / Commercial Project Management. The candidate will have the opportunity to work with experienced Siemens Project Managers on locomotive projects across several US states. This includes autonomously working on dedicated work packages in close interaction with the project team and with Siemens headquarters in Germany.

Responsibilities

The candidate will support commercial execution of existing projects in the Locomotives business. This includes attending internal project meetings and working with Project Managers in the US and Europe. Specifically, the candidate will support the areas of project cost controlling, forecasting, reporting, and risk management.

The candidate will get exposure to various aspects of financial controlling and reporting and support key project and business initiatives.

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

This position requires basic knowledge in cost controlling and accounting as well as experience with Microsoft office word and excel. It further requires strong communication and organization skills, and attention to detail.

The candidate must take initiative and work autonomously in order to ensure progress and to complete delegated tasks before deadlines.

*Interest in finance, business administration, project controlling or analysis - Great opportunity for someone with school concentration in Business or Acc ounting to learn how to apply analytical skills and exposure to various types of reporting.

Selected candidate will be on boarded via a third party vendor.

Total Weekly Hours: 20-40 hours

Estimated length of Time: up to 12 months
