Job Description:

PRIMARY FUNCTION: To setup and operate a computer numerical controlled vertical boring mill, vertical turret lathe, horizontal machining center, 5 axis horizontal or similar machine to perform various milling, drilling, tapping, boring, facing, turning, etc., operations on component parts for compressors and turbines.

Key Responsibilities:

·  Setup and operate a manual or CNC lathe, mill, jig bore, etc. to do a variety of close tolerance machining.
·  Produce parts from prints, samples, sketches or drawings and check work, using standard, or special gauging devices. All work must conform to highest quality standards.
·  Install and adjust tools, set feeds and speeds, install fixtures, blocks, shims, and clamping devices.
·  Load and unload parts with following established Siemens procedures for loading and unloading parts and materials.
·  Oil and grease machine as required. Clean machine at regular intervals. Use coolant when machining.
·  Confirm to all safety procedures and policies

QUALIFICATIONS: Ability to use math, follow complex drawings, and perform complex measurements. Applicants must be able to obtain and maintain Fork Truck License and a crane license. Minimum 3 years of CNC Vertical machining experience required.Proven ability to use precision gages and set up tooling to high accuracies. Proven ability to read and interpret complex drawings.Successful applicants must be able to pass standard hearing, vision, and PFT test.
