The Challenge
Future Grid is an exciting start-up business, developing smart infrastructure that supports public transport and businesses in their shift from petrol and diesel guzzling fleets to electric vehicles.Reducing our fleet carbon emissions will have the biggest impact to our carbon footprint.
We are looking for an intern to be part of our team researching, analysing and developing requirements for us to achieve our carbon neutral 2030 target, taking this experience and knowledge to our customers. In supporting our EV2030 programme, the ideal candidate will:
· Boldly seek and map out sources of industry data and knowledge – EV forecasts, grid capacities and limitations, energy costs.
· Devise methods to obtain data, i.e. through old-school interviews, questionnaires through to open data sources through API's.
· Show off your modelling and analytical skills with off the shelf tools or script away.
· Bring strong analytical skills and analyse existing datasets
· Creating models, forecasts and visualisations
· Forecast EV demand and charge point utilisation
· Determine power and energy requirements
· Overlay with plans for other developments
· Create options to optimise costs for immediate and future needs
Embark on your 12 month placement with us whilst taking part in our fantastic intern development programme. We will build an individual training plan to help you to develop the specific skills and knowledge required for your role. By the end of it you will be set up with the best knowledge to equip you for your professional career.

You are an undergraduate working towards a Computer Sciences/Data Analysis related degree, being ready to analyse and develop requirements for us to achieve our carbon neutral 2030 target, taking this experience and knowledge to our customers.
You are ingenious and curious, having strong analytical skills and the courage to challenge, question and bring new ideas into the mix.
