What are my job responsibilities?

The Design Engineer reports to the Technical and Engineering Manager he is assigned to and is responsible for the following:

·  To perform and execute the design tasks according to the signalling principle.
·  To adhered to the design change process, analyze and update on the implementation solution on design deliverables. 
·  Participate in fault finding and report back results and any systemic issues
·  Interfacing with other parts of the Siemens Mobility organization to try to improve the design and tools as much as possible to keep the overall system efficient and economic to deliver.
·  Interfacing with the System Wide Contractor on the project deliverables design requirements.
·  Participate in onsite or offsite meeting in performing the design, interface and coordination task
·  Identify and report any design defects or variations from the specification
·  Liaise with the Team Manager on all site related activities.
·  To provide weekly and ad-hoc progress reports to the Team Manager.
·  Study and determine appropriate methodology, procedure documentation and address comments or responses on the required approval needs.

What do I need to qualify for this role?

·  Bachelors Degree in Electrical/Electronic/Telecommunications Engineering or related disciples.
·  Min 3 years experience in railway signalling design experience.
·  Diploma with relevant working experience will be considered
·  Good problem solving skill and analytical thinking
·  Team player who is analytical, highly motivated and independent with excellent team spirit and interpersonal skills.
·  Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
