Job Summary

The Innovation team is in charge of managing IT capability of innovation like Machine Learning and AI (Artificial intelligence), Big data, RPA (Robotic Process Automation), Blockchain… and providing ad hoc technical environment.

The Innovation Engineer is responsible for supporting Business on their needs on new technologies, challenge solutions and partners (providers, startups…), implement Proof of Concepts & experimentation (project management ; technical gestures: first environment installation & documentation, monitoring definition, technical support & expertise, production trainings…), provide, manage and promote Innovation services to business and functional IT, and train users for the best utilization. He/She will build quick prototype construction using business data & needs to develop, test, elaborate and maintain innovation infrastructure to improve the data & technology use capability, manage and support Machine Learning, RPA, AI and all innovative implementation on POC or business projects.

This position is an opportunity to be in a transversal division, supporting innovation in both IT functional, IT technical and business.

Key duties and responsibilities

· Perform research and analysis as needed to understand, create and/or improve technical maintenance of sandboxes (data sciences, big data…), support from functional to technical architecture of innovation tools, explain choices and get a position on news solutions & tools.
· Manage some Innovation Services
· Manage PoC on new solutions as Technical Project Manager (coordinate SMEs and deliver technical environment);
· Manage RPA, machine learning and AI sandboxes, automate dataflow processes, manage data reconciliation issues;
· Technically implement & manage innovation environments;
· Analyze deep impact of improvement by learning of installations, PoC & experimentations, robots/data sciences algorithms/IA on IT environment, processes and organization (when relevant);
· Keep up-to-date with latest technology trends in data analytics, machine learning/IA and Robot Process Automation, and any other innovation working on, including installation method and managing infrastructure.
· Support business & IT integration efforts by assisting in the development and understanding of business applications, rules, mapping and scoring, up to software engineering/code development, and when relevant give advices on big data, data transfer & dataflow, to optimize results.
· Participate in the creation of rules, studies and systems designed to incorporate business value, and document after experimentation.
· Foster and participate in a culture of continuous improvement .
· Create and maintain documentation as required.
· Adhere to all Information Security policies and best practices , including security awareness training and other information protection initiatives.
· Communicate on several subject, with right level of popularization/expertise, both formally and informally, in network with capability to animate communities, and provide large hall (& audience) presentation.

Required experience & competencies

· 1+ years in innovation area, implementing key technologies in IT environment.
· 3+ years of experience in IT production, implementing, managing & documenting technical solutions.
· 3+ years of experience in technically implementing & managing IT infrastructure evolution needs by new technologies: analytics infrastructure including profiling, reporting & data visualization, Machine Learning, AI, Big Data, RPA and/or any innovative technology environment installation (experimentation and/or production)…
· 3+ years of experience in Software engineering (i.e. Java, Python, R) on several environments or frameworks (TFS, Spark, Jupyter, RStudio…), idealy with capability on writing parallel execution code in Hadoop environment (Java, Python).
· 1+ year of experienced on Machine Learning and/or Artificial Intelligence implementation.
· Greatly appreciated : experience on Robotic Process Automation & robotics developments: rule based and automated systems implementation, including development and enhancement of rules, process, preferred.
· Greatly appreciated : capability to support business statisticians & data scientists with software engineering.
· Basic knowledge and palatability on mathematics, statistics and algorithms.
· Experience in functional design creation, financial transactions, troubleshooting, dealing with (re)insurance issues appreciated .

Personal Competencies:

· Integration & IT environment – Continuous integration chain , Spark, Jupyter, Hadoop, Azure, Docker, RStudio.
· Machine Learning / Artificial intelligence / Robotic Process Automation or other innovations technical skills (installation, monitoring...) .
· Basic knowledge – mathematics, statistics, algorithms .
· Development a plus – Python/R, Java J2E.
· Communication – fluid oral French & English communication, Hall presentation, Vulgarization, Documentation (incl. Powerpoint presentation, Guidelines, Technical & application architecture).

Required Education

Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, applied science, computer science or equivalent work experience.
