Mission: The Global Customers & Segments intern contributes to putting in place core strategic activities in Global Customers & Segments organisation the by working on one or more of the following missions:

Main tasks:

· Actively contribute to research incl. preparing presentations on strategic topics: specific industry and market analysis, trends, business drivers, growth opportunities identification etc.

· Analyse market landscape and monitor selected competitors for company's targeted end-user segments: Oil & Gas, Mining Minerals & Metals, Water & Waste Water, Food & Beverage, Cloud & Finance.

· Bring market understanding by putting in place ‘Market & Competition News' and facilitating AMR (Annual Market Report) Campaign.

· Participate in business planning process for specific segments.

· Perform screening and evaluation of potential acquisition targets.

Required skills:

· Strong analytical & problem solving skills; ability to screen for information from multiple sources and evaluate companies' profiles based on the limited amount of data.

· Fast learning capacity; ability to quickly absorb information on various topics and synthesize it to make meaningful conclusions.

· Market sizing skills; basic finance literacy; structured thinking.

· Communication skills, open-mindedness, ability to communicate with counterparts from different parts of organization.

· Ability to work under time pressure.

· Good MS PowerPoint skills; report writing skills, ability to build models in MS Excel.

Languages: Fluency in spoken and written English.

Education: MBA Degree.

Position reporting to: Strategy VP, Global Customers & Segments

Level of autonomy: Medium.

Main interfaces : Segment Presidents, Global Solutions & Corporate Strategy teams; Strategic Intelligence team; counterparts in Global Solutions Organisation; Strategy community in the company's global businesses.

Starting date: January 2017

Duration: Up to end of July 2017 (flexible, 6 months preferred)

Location: Rueil Malmaison

Compensation: €1700/month gross
