Job description

T he VIE is an international program for young professionals between the age of 18 and 28 who are European Union nationals. In addition, the candidate cannot come from the country hosting the mission.

Main features about the place (plant/GTC/…, nb of employees, type of products…):

1/ Shanghai Schneider Electric Main office and R&D center

2/ Local team including Marketing, R&D, Quality, verification, project team, purchasing team

3/ >1000 employees in the location

4/ Development teams focusing on industrial automation products/systems

The VIE will be located close to the existing Shanghai purchasing team who shares the same process/tools , very similar missions, and will be available for “reference”

The VIE will mainly work with a Buyer located in Beijing who visits the Schneider centre every month.

Other people the VIE interacts with as part of the business activities: Marketing, R&D, project team

Business trips in the country: 20% of business trip expected

Missions

1/ To provide purchasing support for new development project

2/ To manage RFQ, supplier negotiations, components procurement to support project needs

3/ To work on supply chain risks analysis and mitigation plans

Desired profile

Qualifications :

Profile and Competencies

Education: Bachelor or above,

Technical Field: Engineering background is preferred, familiar with Electronics technology and market

Work experience needed: production purchasing, project related

Requested languages : English(Fluent),

Personal abilities or skills: Good analytical skills and advanced level in Excel
