Based in Sydney, Australia we are now actively recruiting a Software Support Engineer to join our Technical Support team to provide support for ClearSCADA (Geo SCADA Expert)

This role troubleshoots complex software issues, reproduces (as necessary) customer issues, investigates and proposes workarounds, and interfaces with Development team to obtain solutions. This is a customer-facing role, responding to inquiries coming in via telephone, email, and online.

Key responsibilities will include:

· Customer support for end-users, system integrators and distributors
· Technical troubleshooting, analysis, and diagnosis of product issues
· Issue replication / duplication and research into workarounds
· Documentation of activities and findings in a case tracking tool
· Knowledge transfer via technical documentation such as Tech Notes, WebEx's, Articles, White Papers, Knowledge Objects
· Interaction with colleagues in other support centres and departments such as R&D, Product Management, Technical Sales Consultants

In addition, you possess the following skills attributes and experiences:


· Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Computer Science field
· Experience performing technical support work
· Experience ClearSCADA (Geo SCADA Expert) and/or industrial automation
· Domain experience in at least one of the following areas: PLC or RTU installation and programming, Factory Automation / Industrial Instrumentation / Factory operations / Systems Integration
· Proficiency in English language (written and spoken) is essential
· Ability and willingness to work some evenings and public holidays as part of a support roster as well as to commit to occasional business trips, including training and customer visits
