Electro-Mechanical Design Engineer

Job description

1. Electromechanical design engineer for Project Management Process (PMP)request:

· To provide mechanical design solution, as complete product or partial mechanical functions of the product, from architecture to prototyping till completely verified, validated and fully implemented in production, according to Schneider Project Management Process (PMP) in order to meet product specification requirement

· To manage mechanical design evolution of existing products of which triggered by quality improvement, customization and adaptation etc.

· To provide product technical support to the plants, industrialization, customer complaints investigation etc.

· Acoustic design knowledge is preferred
2. Investigation Owner for Product Evolution Process (PEP) request
• In-charge of clarifying the needs expressed by the requester
• Understand the cause or the stake of the request
• Reformulate the request expression
• Find specific documents to illustrate the request
• Execute & validate the change request
3. Localisation & Renewal of moulds
• Review and approve PPEP documents (Supplier Material Certificate, FAIR report measurement, Schneider Industrial Evaluation reports, etc)
4. Customer Level 3 support (technical questions)
• Respond to technical questions from the Level 3 support teams from various Product Departments
5. RTE/RTA Expertise: Customer Complaints
• Analyze defective products, determine root causes and propose corrective actions in mutual agreement with the Quality/Technical Antenna teams in the plant
• Propose preventive actions to improve product design robustness
• Validate design change by carrying out tests, production of prototypes and lead all actions until change execution is closed
6. WBS - Execution
• Execute technical changes to the Product Definition Files for products managed by the Product Departments • Ensure that all the commitments are met in terms of schedule, work accuracy and quality

Desired profile

Qualifications :

• At least 2-3 years of experience as designer in R&D product design environment
• Have experience in the launching or completed 2-3 projects form concept design to mass-production stage
• Proficient with M-CAD Pro-Engineer Wild-Fire 2 and Adobe Illustrator CS4 or above
·  Acoustic design knowledge is a bonus point
• Strong analytical background with Six Sigma knowledge being an advantage
• Proficient in English (written and spoken)
• Ability to speak French or Bahasa Indonesia an added advantage • Willing to travel regularly to Batam
