What do you get to do in this position?

· Work with a mechanical engineers on concept for custom automation equipment and be responsible for taking the concept to a final design state in Creo
· Review component specifications (cylinders, pneumatic valves for example) to define best solution for the equipment subassemblies
· Work with technicians to build subassemblies supported by your design files
· Monitor and track custom fabricated parts at suppliers for accuracy and on time delivery

This job might be for you if:

·  You are student of 6th semester or above of Mechanical, Mechatronics Engineering or related major
·  Able to work 30 hours per week in the mornings
·  Intermediate - advanced english
·  Strong with Solidworks or Creo (or other 3D CAD system)
·  Strong with AutoCAD 2D design software
·  Strong with Microsoft Office 365 tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
·  Familiar with design of machined and sheetmetal parts and understanding of surface treatments for metal
·  Familiar with metal fabrication equipment and processes for machining and forming
·  Able to select raw materials, fasteners and hardware to meet requirements of mechanical system with respect to weight, stress, wear and cost.
·  Familiar with pneumatics, valves and plumbing as part of an integrated mechanical solution.
·  Able to compile information and requirements into a visual concept to review with peers for feedback
·  Able to work with teams, strong organizational skills, self starter and able to work independently
