Sales Application Engineer - Solar Business

We currently have an exciting position for a Sales Application Engineer within our Renewable Business. Sydney location is preferable but we can be flexible for the right person. The Renewable business is directed at the global renewable power market and includes the development, manufacture, marketing, and sale of grid-tie solar inverters, off-grid solar and backup power inverters, and provision of related services.

Responsibilities

· As an SME for the broader Solar & Energy Storage business, you will maintain a thorough knowledge of AS/NZ 4777.2 and AS/NZ 5139
· Provide technical, design and performance vs cost support/advice to stakeholders
· Liaise between customers and our engineering teams to solve high-level technical issues
· Maintains awareness of competitive products, comparisons to Schneider vs. features, benefits, pricing, strengths, and weaknesses
· Collaborates with product management, providing input for product improvements and new product development
· Reports large order opportunities, business activity and customer problems to sales management
· Coordinates customer visits, provide agendas and ensure that appropriate personnel participate

Requirements

· Possess an electrical engineering tertiary qualification with solid electrical systems & designs,
· Solar power system design, including grid-tie and off-grid/battery backup experience advantageous
· Experience with MS Office suite, excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Excellent customer service, organizational, problem-solving skills as well as attention to details
· Ability to provide a presentation to consumers, dealers, distributors and service providers
