We are currently seeking a Reliability Engineer to join the Project Quality team, as part of the CS&Q (Customer Satisfaction & Quality) department, based in our Burnaby, BC location. This position will report to the Project Quality Manager.

We are looking for a positive, confident, self-motivated, passionate individual with a strong desire to work in an exciting, fast-paced, team based collaborative design environment to help us develop next generation technologies to empower and connect our products to each other, and to our customers.

Responsibilities

· Perform the Reliability Analysis of various power electronics products for different mission profiles and ambient temperatures
· Work closely with PQLs (Project Quality Leaders) and other key stakeholders (e.g. Supply Chain, manufacturers, suppliers) in getting the required information with focus on useful life, shelf life, failure mechanisms, etc.
· Perform ULA (Useful Life Analysis) and SLA (Shelf Life Analysis) under the guidance of PQLs
· Drive the Reliability Test strategy and drive the tests to completion
· Assess the Reliability Test results and drive for product reliability improvements
· Be the expert for Reliability standards and Reliability Testing for Solar Business
· Perform other duties as assigned

Profil recherché

Qualifications :

Education and Experience

·  Master's Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Electrical or Electronics) or equivalent experience in related industry
·  1+ years experience in Reliability Analysis (including Failure Rate calculation, ULA and SLA) of electronic and electrical components
·  1+ years experience in Reliability Testing

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

·  Working knowledge of DMA (Design Margin Analysis), FMEA (Failure Modes & Effects Analysis) and FTA (Fault Tree Analysis)
·  Strong knowledge of Reliability standards
·  Ability to read and understand electrical drawings
·  Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and report writing
·  Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
·  Strong communication skills in English is a must (written and verbal)
·  Ability to work efficiently and demonstrate effective organization skills to handle multiple tasks
·  Strong data analysis and mathematics/interpretation skills
·  Comfortable in creating presentations and presenting to internal teams
·  Ability to work in collaborative/supportive manner with international teams located on multiple continents, with suppliers and other stakeholders

Desired Qualifications

·  Working experience with PTC Windchill Prediction or Relex Reliability Prediction
·  Experience in power electronics design
·  Experience in Reliability Analysis of power electronics products
