Role Summary/Purpose

This Hardware Engineer position provides leadership and hands-on work to facilitate the design transfer of X-Ray product components and subsystems into production as part of the New Product Introduction process. This position also provides engineering leadership for change control of our designs, both components and subsystems. The position includes working with suppliers and sourcing for design change notices and obsolescence management.
Essential Responsibilities

This role requires interaction with global Engineering, Sourcing, Manufacturing, Quality and Service teams to ensure the product quality goals set forth by the business.
• Interface to Manufacturing, Sourcing, Supplier Quality for the X-Ray Hardware Engineering Team
• Track hardware deliverable vs. program dates and timelines
• Manage engineering changes from concept through implementation
• Work with multiple programs to help lead and guide design transfer activities.
• Global coordination of engineering tasks related to design change and transfer
Qualifications/Requirements

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Bio-Medical Engineering or a similar STEM degree.
• Excellent teamwork, collaboration and coordination of deliverables
• Effective oral and written communication skills
Desired Characteristics

• Experience in global product development on an engineering team
• Experienced in developing project plans and estimates
• Working knowledge of GEHC tools and processes such as MyWorkshop (parts Release, ECR/ECO), SQCS, Trackwise, ClearQuest, DOORS, etc.
• Experience working with supply chain functions
• Experience with Agile or Scaled Agile Framework
