Environment, Health and Safety Manager

Job description

• This role is directly responsible for the management of Health and Safety in 3 large manufacturing facilities, warehouses, and administration buildings of APC-MGE Philippines.
• Responsible for engendering a culture of safety consciousness, ensuring that all employees, contractors, and visitors are safe from injury and risks to health while at an APC-MGE workplace.
• Build a world-class Health & Safety (H&S) function, ensuring that necessary policies and programs are established to raise further awareness of H&S in the Philipines factories.
• Educate and coach managers to ensure they have the ability to manage the H&S requirements of their employees. • Ensure regular audits take place, that accidents and near-misses are being reported by employees and recorded appropriately, and that accident prevention interventions are continuously evolving.

Desired profile

Qualifications :

• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree in Sciences, Engineering or related discipline; Post-graduate qualification or certificate in Occupational Health and Safety.
• With a minimum of 5 years work experience in a Health and Safety function, at least 3 years of which in a Health and Safety Manager position from a multinational manufacturing organisation.
• Must have experience of establishing Health & Safety policies and programs, delivering training, and driving improvements in Health & Safety.
• A strong understanding of Philippines Health & Safety regulations relating to the electronics and manufacturing industry.
• Possesses ability to plan and organise in a complex environment subject to ongoing change is critical.
• Good project management skills required.
• Must have experience of OHSAS 18001 or ILO-OHS 2001.
• Excellent verbal, written communication skills, professional selling skills, presentation skills and a proven track record of delivering results/ • Minimum intermediate level skills in MS Office (MS Excel and MS Powerpoint in particular).
