Channel Led Business Product Technical Trainer

Job description

This position is responsible for supporting the technical product training needs of Wholesale Distributors in the Partner Business working directly with Schneider Electric’s National Sales Force, Channel Operations, and Line of Business Stakeholders as it relates to Channel Led Business. He/she will routinely collaborate with the Small and Medium Business Project Manager, Channel Content Developers and Offer Managers to drive competency in Schneider Electric products and solutions. This role will be responsible for the following Key Responsibilities:

1. Work with the appropriate stakeholders within the SE organization to determine specific needs and objectives desired for the channel partners. (National Sales, Channel Operations, Line of Business Managers, Learning & Development, and others as appropriate).

2. Lead in the development of content necessary to drive competency in product selection and configuration, interpretation of code/local requirements as they pertain to our products to quote project jobs and solutions.

3. Educate Schneider Electric distributors on electrical distribution equipment and industrial solutions in the North American portfolio as it relates to local market tier perimeters, including but not limited to panelboards, circuit breakers, switchboards, and load centers.

4. Implement a continuous improvement process for the training program to keep the content fresh, drive current business objectives, and being responsive to changing market dynamics.

5. Maintain and procure relevant equipment demos for use in class

6. Work with Partner Projects, Channel Operations and Sales Engineers to schedule instructor-led training with key distributor partners. Position Requirements: • Minimum four-year technical degree or relevant experience • Minimum two years in depth experience with Partner products including but not limited to panelboards, circuit breakers, switchboards, and load centers • Familiarity with NEC codes and standards related to distribution equipment • Ability to work in a highly matrixed environment, with a collaborative and determined approach • A strong commercial sense, including a keen understanding of an electrical distributor’s business and key objectives, and how SE is positioned to help them be successful • Project planning and monitoring experience • Excellent communication and presentation skills, written and spoken • Effective time management and organizational skills • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs including but not limited to: Word, PowerPoint and Excel • Adobe Creative Suite or Content Creation skills a plus US Travel requirements - Minimum 50%
