Category Buyer & Plant Purchasing Manager

Job description

The Category Buyer ensures the operational relations with suppliers within the strategy defined in cross functional team and the respect of the contracts; track and report key elements/data on supplier performance.

· Lead negotiations & propose actions (QVE, rebalancing...) in consistency with commodity strategy
· Manage supplier consultation & selection according to commodity strategy
· Manage supply qualification; negotiate and manage contracts with supplier
· Contribute to the purchasing database update by providing necessary information to commodity managers / supplier leaders/ update purchasing database and tools
· Be the first escalation level for supplier crisis management
· Follow-up the quality and cost reduction objective related to action plan/productivity program (QVE, rebalancing…)

Desired profile

Qualifications :

We are looking for a Category Buyer who want to work on global category management and report to procurement which is a verticalized global function and direct purchases.

·  BSc in Electrical, Mechanical or Material and Metallurgical Engineering (Master degree is plus)
·  Minimum 3 years professional experience in Purchasing & Procurement
·  Negotiation skills
·  Purchasing skills (Cost, Supplier Management, Cost analysis, Market analysis, Tools...)
·  Legal aspects, financial aspects, risk analysis, contracts setting
·  Business knowledge and trade-off (Service Vs cost, Total Cost of Ownership)
·  Fluency in English,French is a plus
·  Quality and supply chain knowledge
·  Completed military service for male candidates
