What do you get to do in this position?

This position will be an active member of the Smart Factory / Manufacturing Squad. They will participant in our Agile transformation as a member of this cross functional team.

The Application Engineer will have responsibility for applications supporting our Canadian Global Supply Chain (GSC) partners. They will support ERP platforms and multiple applications supporting ERPs and reporting for these business partners, provide application support and maintenance for North America Manufacturing systems.

Interface with local and remote users to understand system issues and opportunities. Provide acceptable solutions within the established KPIs. Work with cross functional Schneider Electric teams to develop and implement software change requests and projects supporting corporate initiatives. Provide rotational on-call support for assigned applications. Continually improve system stability and performance.

MS Visual Studio

VB.net

SQLServer

Oracle

Web services

c/c++

XML

HTML

You have experience with Dynamics NAV and/or Point.Man ERPs

You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills

You are quick to learn new technologies

You have good communication skills and are fluent in English

You are available for 7/24 rotational support

You have manufacturing / supply chain experience

You have 5+ years of programming experience

Desirable Qualifications:



Experience with Dynamics NAV or Pointman ERPs

Experience with the following technologies:

MS Visual Studio

ASP.net

SQLServer

SSRS

Web services

Strong written and oral communication skills

Strong analytical, problem solving and time management skills

Performance driven with an eye towards excellence in operational execution

Available for 7/24 rotational support

Experience with Agile methodologies

Manufacturing and Supply Chain Experience

Exposure to LEAN methodologies to drive change that enables efficiencies

Effective collaborator that can work across NAM Teams, multiple languages & time zones

Strong problem-solving skills with a learning orientation
