V&V Management Engineer
We are searching for an experienced V&V Management Engineer. We have vacancies in London, York and Radlett.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
The V&V Management Engineer reports to the V&V Management Lead Engineer within the signalling engineering structure, the role will require work to be executed across the company’s project portfolio.
Training of staff on the V&V tool set and defines staff competence.
The V&V management engineer is responsible to for the set up and definition of the project V&V management structure during the tender phase, update upon contract award and maintain the requirement management throughout the project life cycle.
To meet the key deliverables of the role the V&V Management Engineer shall be responsible for the following tasks:
Produce the project V&V plan;
Create and maintain the project in the approved V&V management tools;
Analyse the stakeholder needs and expectations to establish the requirements for a system;
Liaise with client at various levels and the system design authority to confirm system requirements;
Work with the requirement’s leader to assign requirements to correct subsystem and maintain traceability record;
Work with the Change Control and Configuration lead to ensure all changes are valid and traceable;
Ensure submitted entries are correctly populated and defined;
Setup plan and facilitate requirement’s coordination meetings particularly between subsystems and interfaces;
Verify that requirement’s and changes are clearly recorded with any supporting information documented/traceable;
Support the production of the verification and validation reports, including production of template reports;
Support discipline CRE’s to ensure V&V information is being recorded correctly, adequately defined, categorized;
Validate that issues are being actioned / progressed;
Provide project requirement’s management progress reports / KPI reports;
Provide V&V management training as required;
Support the Competence Manager with the execution of the internal competence management scheme.
Degree or equivalent Engineering Qualification
Excellent communications and IT skills are required. Previous experience of working within a system engineering process environment is essential. Experience of applying RSSB, Network Rail and Industry recognised standards and team management skill are required.
Knowledge of GB Mainline, signalling design, installation, testing or safety assurance with knowledge of railway construction methods and materials used is desirable. Use of database software (such as DOORS/Reqtify).
