CONTEXT OF THE INTERNSHIP
Machine learning , also known as Analytics 3.0 , is the latest development in the field of data analytics.Machine learning allows computers to take in large amounts of data, process it, and teach themselves new skills using that input. It's a way to achieve artificial intelligence using a “learn by doing” process. This new capability is under-utilized in the field of SAP IT operations.

PROJECT
Focused Insights is the analytics application of SAP Solution Manager built for SAP IT solutions management. With Focused Insights, CIO and SAP IT Managers have visibility and full control for their IT Operations.The next version of Focused Insights powered by machine learning algorithms should include new features or APIs for automation and predictive analysis to save time on manual and repetitive tasks, accelerate mean time to resolution, and maintain greater control over IT infrastructure.

You will be a part of SAP's Digital Business Service team developing software across the full-stack from HTML5 & JavaScript to server-side ABAP ; delivering world-class solutions to help our global customers run better.Our team works with some of the largest customers in the world. Together we will build the next generation of IT management platform for both cloud and on premise system.

Your job would be to augment the technical knowhow of our Machine Learning team by working on internal software development projects to create new or improve/extend existing machine learning solutions to bring direct benefits to our organization by automating their day-to-day IT activities and Operations. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with experienced researchers, machine learning developers and DevOps engineers to gain their feedback and insights.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
• Explore, understand, and implement most recent algorithms and approaches for supervised and unsupervised machine learning.
• Take ownership of customer success by focusing on their needs when we design features, write code, write tests and fix bugs.
• Delivering software ready to ship after every sprint by collaborating with team members to design, implement and test smart repeatable solutions.
• Build features optimized to work in both the cloud and on premise software.
• Implement responsive front-end using HTML5 and SAPUI5 or deliver performant back-end machine-learning and predictive analytics algorithm.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS/ SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
• Pursuing a University degree in Computer Science, Computer/Software engineering or equivalent.
• Eager to learn and passionate about software technologies.
• Good communication and teamwork skills, able to understand others' ideas as well as articulating your own effectively.

WORK EXPERIENCE
• Solid understanding of Object oriented design concepts
• Exposure to web technologies including HTML5, CSS3, jQuery
• Development experience with Java, C# or C++
