PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
SAP Cloud Platform (CP) is SAP’s platform-as-a-service cloud offering, upon which the future technology and business innovation will be based. The platform competes with the Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google App Engine and alike in the cloud space. The Business Extensions team of SAP Cloud Platform (CP) provides functionalities which enable the strategic advantage of CP to be THE extensions platform of choice for enhancing SAP’s core Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solutions such as SAP SuccessFactors, SAP Ariba, SAP Hybris Cloud for Customer, SAP S4/HANA Cloud. The team works in tight collaboration with the different SaaS teams across the globe – US, Germany, China.
Technology-wise, the team designs and implements the foundation components needed for simple and streamline integration of the provisioning, connectivity, security, integration and UI layers. It enables the partners who develop applications on top of the platform, to create sophisticated extension scenarios crossing multiple cloud stacks, while at the same time reduce development efforts and increase delivery speed.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
· Deliver high-quality features. This includes technical design, prototyping, implementation, tests writing, documentation;
· Develop highly-available, scalable and resilient platform microservices;
· Leverage Open Source Software as much as possible;
· Apply agile development practices such as pair programming, code reviews, test-driven development, continuous integration;
· Enjoy highly motivated and full of humor team environment;

WORK EXPERIENCE
Must is experience with:
· Java, Java Web
· Design and implementation of REST APIs
· SQL
Advantage is considered know-how with any of those:
· JPA, CXF, Google Guice, Activiti Workflow;
· Jenkins, Maven, Gradle, Git;
· Linux;
· Distributed systems design and development;
· SAML based authentication, OAuth2.0;
· Test Driven Development;
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATION / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
· Computer science education
· 1 year of experience with software development
· Object-oriented design
· Service-oriented architecture
· Creative thinking, willingness and ability to quickly learn and explore new concepts and technologies
· Excellent team player, with strong communication skills, passionate about his/her work, self-motivated, good sense of humor
· Fluency in English
