PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

This internship at SAP Products & Innovations will allow you to participate in the professional development of business software, learn from an experienced team, and make your own contribution to the delivery of intelligent solutions for our customers.

As an intern/thesis student, you will join our development team based here in Tägerwilen (Lake Constance, CH). We are currently developing a new replenishment solution for retail customers. We are using the Scrum methodology and follow best practices for agile software development.

In your role, you will work with our research team to investigate possible solutions for cost-optimal ordering in a retail scenario. Depending on your field of study and formal requirements, the project may be a suitable topic for a master/bachelor thesis.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

You are a currently enrolled student at a university or a university of applied sciences and studying preferably in the fields: Mathematics or Computer Science with a focus on Operations Research.

Required Skills

Basic statistical knowledge
Advanced knowledge of mathematical optimization and modeling
Advanced programming skills (e.g. Java, C++, Python)
German, mainly spoken

Preferred Skills

Knowledge and experience of programming algorithms
SQL programming skills to create database queries
Hands-on experience of software development on SAP HANA
Fluent in English, written and spoken

Having worked as member of a team as well as independently
