PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES:

SAP’s solutions are purpose-built for deployment anywhere in the world, as our customer base operates in nearly 140 countries. They also follow global best business practices, with specific functions and features to account for varying national tax laws and other regulations in over 40 countries.

SAP Globalization Services network help SAP’s customers to implement and run SAP solutions wherever they are compliant with legal regulations.

 

ROLE DESCRIPTION:

You will become a member of an international team with experienced and highly motivated colleagues located in several worldwide locations. Your main focus will be handling of globalization topics (like internationalization, legal compliance, best business practices…) to ensure that SAP solutions are ready for our customers worldwide in cloud and on premise. Besides that, you will have a broad range of tasks to apply and strengthen your programming and product skills.

 

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS:

·  Country enablement of new SAP solutions (like SAP S4HANA).
·  Legal compliance assurance of SAP solutions worldwide.
·  Design and implementation of new legal requirements. Build up and expand business knowledge within and beyond Financial and Management Accounting.
·  New services delivery via SAP HANA Cloud Platform.
·  Working in new models such as Scrum and Agile SW Development and Design Thinking
·  Software quality improvements through application redesign. Write automated tests for quality assurance.
·  Know-how transfer cross other globalization centers.

 

 

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATION / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES / WORK EXPERIENCE:

·  University degree, preferably in an IT or a related discipline (computer science, physics, mathematics, business economics etc.) or another adequate qualification. Graduates are welcome.
·  Excellent development skills in one or more programming languages, Experience with ABAP and Java development for business and transaction logic (J2EE etc.) would be a plus.
·  Language skills: very good working knowledge of English, German is an advantage.
·  Strong analytic skills.
·  Passion for agile software engineering (Scrum, XP, TDD etc.) Project experience with automated testing. High capability to adapt to new situations / challenges.
·  Sound knowledge of SAP ERP applications, preferably in the area of SAP ERP Financials.
·  High customer and service orientation, good communication skills.
·  Good team player.
·  List of projects including your role, used technologies and applied development processes
