We are part of the Cloud & Lifecycle Management organization and our mission is to define and develop the Automations of SAP HANA and SAP ASE Configurations and Updates.
Desired profile
EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
· You will be working in a cross-functional team of talented, supportive, and motivated colleagues, following agile methodologies and industry best practices, with main focus on the automation of Database Update and lot of configuration tasks for SAP HANA and SAP ASE
· You will be working with top notch technologies
· You will define and analyze products requirements, create, and read functional and design specifications; write and support the relevant software code base
· You will perform code reviews and your code will be reviewed by other team members
· You will do conceptual research and prototyping to expand product capabilities
· Focus on quality – unit, functional, integration testing, etc.
· Follow SAP product standards applicable for your development
· Work with customers and end users
· You will perform operations tasks for the service you’re working on.
Required skills
· A good bachelor or master degree in computer science or a related technical discipline.
· Good knowledge in at least one modern programming languages, preferable Python and Java
· Good knowledge in Bash Scripting
· Confidence working within Unix / Linux environments
· DB development experience
· Curiosity and willingness to understand and learn new technologies, concepts and tools.
· Goal-oriented team worker with good communication skills embracing agile programming practices.
· Fluency in English.
Considered as a plus
· Experience with Test-Driven-Development, continuous integration, committer/contributor model and pair programming, ideally with knowledge in using JUnit, Git, Jenkins and Maven
· Working experience with distributed systems
· Ideally you have already made first experiences with developing and operating cloud based application and services.
