Job Description

The Finance/Controlling intern will be exposed to and learn many aspects of financial reporting & managerial controlling during this internship. Approximately 60% of time will be dedicated to controlling and 40% to accounting and tax.

· Cost comparison and additional analysis requests
· Assistance in monthly reporting to corporate
· Support deviation analysis and update forecasts
· Support the analysis of, budget forecasting, P&L simulations
· Support the monthly closure with variance analysis
· Preparation of gap analysis reports
· Master Data management and corrections for quality,
· Support in the monthly business reporting with main focus on reporting and controlling cost centre overheads and profit centre results
· Monitoring balance sheet accounts e.g. receivables
· Assistance with year-end activities
· Support in the Business planning process
· Support to LCA (Local Chief Accountant) located in Italy and LTM (Local Tax Manager) located in Dubai acting as local represantative for the tasks to be done in Istanbul office
· Ability to travel intra-city (Istanbul)
· Ad-hoc projects

Desired Skills & Experience

· Master or bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance, Controlling, Management or Engineering
· Advanced knowledge of Excel
· Fluent English
· Familiarity with financial statements
· Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills, able to multi-task
· Must be able to work independently as well as in a team
· Previous internship experience in Finance or Controlling is a plus
· Prior work experience (6 months) in multinational environment will be considered as a plus
· Interest for a career in Corporate Finance
· Proactiveness and appetite for growth
· Strong analytical skills and result orientation
· Dynamic, proactive approach and ability to work under pressure within strict deadlines
· Structured working approach to high quality standards
· Good attention to detail, decision making and problem solving skills
· Familiarity with SAP (ERP or BW)knowledge is plus
