PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
User experience design is one of the top priorities for both SAP and our customers. The SAP Global Design team defines the user experience of SAP products and sets the design direction for SAP products across units, delivery channels and devices, in collaboration with product design teams. SAP Global Design is constantly exploring ways to deliver next generation experiences to better meet the needs of our customers and to evolve our award-winning Fiori design ( http://experience.sap.com/fiori/ ).
EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
We are looking for a talented user experience design intern who has a good grounding in the principles of design thinking and interaction design, good communication skills, and who has the potential, enthusiasm and motivation to further develop those skills in a world-class software design team. We are looking for someone who is curious, loves collaborating and exchanging with others, and who enjoys solving design problems while keeping a laser focus on user needs.
Working with experienced UX designers, your main responsibilities will include one or more of the following topics:

·   Research and analyse business and user requirements.
·   Create customer journey maps, storyboards, wireframes, and interaction design flows.
·   Design interactive experiences for web and/or mobile applications following the Fiori design language.
·   Create interactive prototypes.
·   Work with user researchers to test and validate designs.
·   Create design communication materials including presentations and detailed specifications.
·   Work with software developers to oversee design implementation.

Candidates will be required to submit a portfolio or samples of their work as part of the application process.
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
Enrolment in a study program in industrial design, product design, user interface design, multimedia design, graphic design or related discipline.

Required skills

·   Proficiency with industry-standard design and prototyping tools such as Adobe Creative Suite and Axure.
·   Ability to analyse user needs, solve design problems, and convey the solution through wireframes and interaction design flows.
·   Ability to work with a defined design language when required as well as work on design explorations for innovation projects.
·   Since you will collaborate with engineering and design teams in Europe, North America, and Asia you must have good written and oral communication skills in English, our global language of communication.
