JOB SUMMARY:

The Real World Evidence and Clinical Outcomes (RWE&CO) function mission is “To improve patient outcomes by generating the evidence required by healthcare decision makers to support patient access and use of Sanofi medicines and the insights required by Sanofi internal teams to develop and commercialize the most impactful medicines”.

The primary role of the Systematic Literature Review Analyst is to provide expertise in the design, execution and project management of Literature Review Services for the Medical function at Sanofi. These services include, but are not limited to: systematic and targeted literature reviews, feasibility assessments and meta-analyses, reports, slide decks, abstracts and posters for presentation, and peer-reviewed publications. The execution of these services will leverage a wide variety of tools, data platforms, and key collaborators to deliver high-quality, timely output for Medical stakeholders globally throughout the product lifecycle.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsibilities:

The Systematic Literature Review Analyst will collaborate closely with Medical and Real World Evidence colleagues to generate literature reviews and associated scientific and medical writing content to support Medical and RWE&CO strategy. Responsibilities include:

• Design of literature searches/algorithms to be implemented in electronic literature databases (i.e., PubMed, EMBASE, Cochrane Library, etc.) and grey literature sources (conference proceedings, regulatory agencies)

• Prepare research protocols, define and refine research questions as they pertain to literature review objectives

• Develop inclusion/exclusion criteria within the PICOS framework to be implemented during screening process

• Conduct the screening of abstracts and full-text articles against defined inclusion/exclusion criteria to assess their suitability for inclusion in the review

• Review the PRISMA diagram depicting the study attrition

• Develop data abstraction tools, perform article abstraction, validate data abstraction and extraction

• Finalize the analyzable dataset

• Write literature synthesis in Word or PowerPoint, providing interpretation of the literature and observations of patterns and trends identified in a body of evidence

• Draft tables and figures, final reports, and slide decks

• Support literature review and writing tasks in non-literature review projects

• Develop a project plan and monitor project progress

• Manage references and oversee full-text retrieval and article ordering

• Lead training and orientation sessions for new users of platform tools

REQUIRED EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND AND JOB-RELATED EXPERIENCE:

Education:

• Master's Degree in relevant health sciences discipline with 1-2+ years directly-related experience; OR,

• A bachelor's degree in a relevant health sciences discipline with 5+ years directly-related experience

Experience:

• Proven experience in systematic literature review (SLR) methods in health economics and/or health services research; experience in supporting SLR for network meta-analysis would be an advantage, but is not essential

• Extensive experience with biomedical databases (eg, MEDLINE and Embase)

• Deep understanding of research principles and demonstrated practical research implementation

Skills and Capabilities:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to synthesize information from a body of literature

• Proficient with EndNote or other bibliographic software preferred

• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint and Excel)

• Excellent fact-checking and editing preferred

• Detail-oriented, and well organized

• Experience in handling multiple projects simultaneously
