Senior Research Associate - Cell Line Development and Genomic Medicine Unit CMC

We seek a highly motivated candidate to join Cell Line Development (CLD), as part of a new team focused on mammalian cell line generation for Sanofi’s Genomic Medicine Unit (GMU) pipeline.  The person in this role will work in a high-performing, fast-paced collaborative environment, developing producer cell lines expressing viral vectors for gene therapy and supporting efforts to optimize our future producer cell line viral vector platform. Work will directly support development projects within Sanofi’s Biologics R&D pipeline.

Key Responsibilities

·  Generation and evaluation of producer cell lines expressing viral vectors
·  Production of small-scale cell banks
·  Contribute to preparation of reports, procedures and presentations for communication to CLD team members and project team
·  Plan experiments, manage concurrent work assignments and analyze results, consulting with supervisor as needed

Basic Qualifications

·  Master’s degree in Biology, Cell Biology, Biotechnology or related discipline or Bachelor’s degree in Biologic science with at least 2 years of relevant experience
·  Hands-on experience in suspension mammalian cell culture
·  Self-motivated with excellent organization and time-management skills
·  Excellent communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

·  Knowledge of and experience in mammalian cell line expression of viral vectors
·  Mammalian cell culture experience in a pharmaceutical or biotechnology setting
·  Experience in mammalian gene expression systems and/or molecular biology techniques
·  Demonstrated ability to work as member of a team and adhere to timelines
·  Ability to multi-task
