Job Title: Senior Administrative Assistant

Summary

Provides administrative support to Head of Global Rare Blood Disorders requiring an advanced knowledge of department functions and division/business unit functions. Manages all communications as requested, including telephone calls, meeting planning, e-mail messages, and internal and external mail. Requires execution of administrative projects as needed.

Job Responsibilities

·  Calendar management, travel arrangements, expense management, individual and central filing support, and all other administrative support.
·  Coordination of meetings, creating PowerPoint presentations, coordinating monthly reporting, use of Excel spread sheets and ordering equipment, etc.
·  Assisting on editing/creating communications and documentations that may contain highly confidential information. The position will require excellent discretion and judgment is required.
·  Lead specialized projects requiring strong initiative and follow-through.

Skills and Requirements

·  Proven ability to work independently, highly organized and effective in handling multiple detail-oriented projects in a fast paced environment. The candidate must exercise discretion and judgment in handling confidential/proprietary information
·  Strong communications and interpersonal skills; a team player
·  Strong administrative and computing skills, MS Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel and Word)
·  Ability to anticipate needs, resourcefulness and responsiveness are essential
·  Ability to interact with various levels of business functions and professionals in and outside Sanofi Genzyme
·  Ability to synthesize information from multiple sources (academic journals, newspapers, online publications, interviews etc.) and analyze information for implications
·  Attentive to cultural sensitivities
·  High attention to detail and precision in creating reports, tables, and analyses.

Basic Qualifications

·  Bachelor's Degree preferred
·  At least 5 years work experience as an administrative/executive assistant required.

Preferred Qualifications

·  Experience in health care, biotech, consulting, government or associations preferred
