POSITION OVERVIEW

Sanofi Pasteur is the vaccines division of Sanofi. We believe in a world in which no one suffers or dies from a vaccine-preventable disease. The Swiftwater site is located in northeast Pennsylvania and is home to the production of over 140 million doses of vaccine each year.

The Portfolio Validation/Manufacturing Technology (MTech) function of Vaccines Industrial Affairs (VIA), will support the delivery of robust and efficient processes and technology for Cleaning, Shipping, Extractables & Leachables (E&L) and Filtration for existing and new Drug Substances and Drug Products.

The mission of the MTech function is to deliver robust and efficient processes with associated knowledge to transfer to Manufacturing. The MTech function also provides daily support to manufacturing toward industrial performance excellence.

Who You Are

· 
You are a technical-oriented person who responsible technical contributor to the field of expertise and implementation at the Swiftwater site. You want to:

· 
Technical expert and point of contact for notebook, development and validation study design and execution

· 
Technical contributor to strategic vision for the future of the field of expertise and implementation at the Swiftwater site

· 
Participate in the network for the field of expertise, within Sanofi Pasteur.

· 
Influences internally and across VIA functions; forward thinking with an attitude of collaboration, optimization, efficiency, continuous improvement.

· 
Proactively anticipates and effectively communicates successes, constraints, conflicts, solutions and actions for resolution.

· 
Proactively resolves conflicts, removes roadblocks to execution within sphere of influence; escalates to functional management when appropriate.

· 
Fosters relationships with partners, experts from other functions and customers in order to achieve technical objectives.

Basic Qualifications

· 
Bachelors or Masters in basic sciences, math, engineering, or pharmacy with 2+ years’ experience or PhD with experience in biological processes or analytics in a cGMP environment.

· 
Preferred experience with filter and / or E&L validation.
