Description of Position:

The Cell Biology Team in the In Vitro Biology Department of Sanofi’s  Integrated Drug Discovery Platform is seeking an experienced and highly-motivated Scientist.

Key Responsibilities:

·  Support early drug discovery projects by testing small molecule candidates in various cellular models and assays
·  Establish cellular models to support multiple therapeutic areas as well as characterize these models for target/disease relevance.
·  Serve as an active member of project teams, work collaboratively with medicinal chemists, biologists, pharmaceutical scientists
·  Present scientific results at team meetings and make decisions frequently impacting the project direction. 
·  Bring valuable experiences to address scientific questions with new methods and processes. 
·  Work under limited supervision with periodic review of results and methods advancement reviewed systematically. 

Basic qualifications:

·  Ph.D. in Cell Biology or related discipline
·  Experience developing and validating in vitro cellular screens, backed by solid technical skills in cellular characterization and target probing techniques.
·  Deep knowledge of cell biology with proven scientific achievements (patents, literature…)
·  Good communication and organizational skills
·  Knowledge of high-content screening is a plus, as is familiarity with derivation, differentiation, maintenance of iPSC’s.
·  The successful candidate will become a resource across the IVB platform and must possess ability to drive projects and platform initiatives

Preferred qualifications:

·  Minimum of 3 years of professional experience developing in vitro cell-based assay
·  Track record of technical expertise via publications
